Sapphic Second Chapter: Better Late than Straight
ABOUT
Sapphic Second Chapter: Better Late than Straight is a monthly support group and educational workshop series dedicated to women exploring, discovering, or embracing their lesbian and sapphic identities later in life.
We recognize that self-discovery does not follow a universal timeline. For many women, exploring their sexuality later in life can involve navigating deeply ingrained social expectations, redefining relationships, processing significant life changes, and discovering new possibilities for connection and fulfillment.
These experiences can bring excitement, uncertainty, grief, liberation, and joy, sometimes all at once.
Sapphic Second Chapter provides a welcoming and affirming environment where participants can connect with others navigating similar experiences, share their stories, explore questions about identity and relationships, and develop meaningful community connections.
Through monthly sessions, themed workshops, facilitated support groups, and both in-person and online options, we create opportunities for learning, reflection, friendship, and personal growth.
Whether you're questioning your identity, newly out, navigating major life changes, or seeking community with others who understand your experience, Sapphic Second Chapter meets you wherever you are.
Your journey is yours to define. Your next chapter can begin whenever you're ready.
OUR MISSIONTo support women navigating later-in-life lesbian and sapphic identity exploration through affirming peer support, educational opportunities, meaningful relationships, and accessible community programming.
